In accordance with Governor Inslees orders our office is closed until April 7th. At this time our operations revolve around essential tasks. We are still hard at work on our organizational priorities and will continue to work from home on this until it is safe to get back into the field.

Neighborhood outdoor activities (locations inside your immediate community) are still encouraged as a part of essential activities so long as social distancing of six feet is maintained.

Outdoor exercise works at this time if you...

Keep it local and stick close to home.

Physically distance yourselves from others. Health officials are recommending that we stay at least 6 feet apart when outside and recreating only with those you live with.

Be conservative. Do not do anything that has the potential to get you injured or in need of further medical attention. Our health care system needs to stay focused on the Covid-19 response.

Leave if a trail is busy. If you are out recreating and you can not safely maintain at least a 6 foot distance from others go home.

Check for specific trail and park closures before you go. As of Monday, March 30th, all trails on WDFW, DNR and State Parks land are closed. All Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest developed recreation sites are closed. Developed recreation sites for the Methow now closed include campgrounds, sno-parks, restroom facilities, day-use areas, trailheads. Trails and roads are still open on USFS lands. The Fish Hatchery trailhead in Winthrop and short trail section of the community trail on the National Fish Hatchery land is closed to the public.

After 108 days of grooming and 15,000+ miles covered we are ceasing regular grooming operations. Thanks to all who support our operations in our community. We truly could not maintain and improve these trails every year with out you. If you like what we do and want to see it continue please consider purchasing a pass for next year or donating to us at the links below.

You can purchase your 2020/2021 annual pass here now.

Methow Trails is a non-profit organization that has been connecting people and trails since 1977. Your donations and winter trail pass purchases sustains the trails you love year round. Donations can be made here.
